With smartphone use reported to be at an all-time high, being without one is like playing full court basketball without an actual ball.

No matter how great you are at balancing it all between excelling at your sport, achieving great grades and managing your social life, you will need some help along the way.

And what great way to get ahead of the competition and then to utilize tools specifically designed for the varying aspects of your life.

High School Apps for Athletes

  1. Mint [Available on iOS and Android]

Do you hate having to deal with that increasing cell phone bill?  How about having to sift through your bills when it comes through the mail?

Student life is stressful enough without having to stay on top of bills, loans and other expenses.  What Mint does is it helps you consolidate all of your finances into one place, reminding you of upcoming bills and even providing recommendations for how to save money and set budgets based on your spending habits.

  1. Studious [Available on Android]

Do you hate it when your phone goes off in the middle of class?  How about when you have to listen to someone else’s annoying ring tone?

When it happens to you in the middle of a test, it’s awkward and can result in dozens of unwelcomed eyeballs staring in your direction. Studious lets you input your class schedule to automatically silence your phone while you’re in class.

It also allows you to save class notes and reminds you about important dates such as tests and homework assignments!  Cool, huh?

  1. Study Blue [Available on iOS and Android]

Got an important exam and need a tool to help you memorize accurately?  Do you have to cram and need to increase your chances of passing the test?

Whether you’re memorizing science lessons or math equations, it’s hard to find a memorization tool with better results than good old “flash cards”.  Study Blue makes it easy to create custom decks of flash cards for whatever you’re trying to learn.

In their own words, “Don’t be the only one missing out on what 6 million students use to get better grades, save time, and stress less!”

  1. CamScanner [Available on iOS and Android]

Need access to a scanner when the library is closed?

Look no further than your own pocket.  CamScanner helps you scan, store, sync and collaborate on various contents across smartphones, iPads, tablets and computers.

Cam Scanner uses your smartphone camera to create high-resolution pdf documents so you can copy your classmates’ notes or the one page you really need in that heavy textbook.

  1. Dropbox [Available on iOS and Android]

Have you ever needed to save an important video, picture or document outside of your smartphone or that clunky laptop?

Don’t risk losing that important essay to an unexpected hard drive crash.  There are lots of cloud storage options out there, but if you haven’t heard of Dropbox by now, it still has one of the best cloud storage offerings.

It comes with tons of app integrations, flawless syncing between devices and lots of free space to get you started.

Take advantage of the technology, resources and apps available tomake your life easier both on and off the field of play.
